Translating our catheter-based device prototypes, artificial oxygen carriers and biotherapeutic candidates is critical to both our proof-of-concept testing and the downstream evaluation of our materials in complex model systems. My work has spanned across a range of environments, starting at FDA as a research and regulatory scientist in CBER and project scientist in CDER and CDRH. I am now in a faculty position within a school of medicine and focus on biotherapeutic applications to address the sequela of genetic and acquired hemolytic diseases.
